President Stroble in Vienna

President Beth Stroble and Provost Julian Schuster spoke with students, faculty and staff ahead of the Webster Vienna grand opening.

The Webster Vienna Private University grand opening ceremonies today, Oct. 29, will be streamed live at webster.edu/live and the Webster Vienna website.

The webcast portion will air from approximately 7-8:15 p.m. locally in Vienna, which is 1-2:15 p.m. Central Daylight Time in St. Louis.

President Beth Stroble and Provost Julian Schuster spent the prior day in “meet and greets” with Webster Vienna students, faculty and staff. Together with Webster Vienna director Arthur Hirsh, they were also interviewed by local press and a major Austrian national daily paper.

A student, faculty and alumni grand opening of the new location was held earlier this month. Tonight’s grand opening introduces the new Webster Vienna location to local dignitaries, including Thomas Hintze, chairman of the Vienna Campus Advisory Board and chairman of UPC Austria; Andreas Mailath-Pokorny, Vienna City Councilor for Culture and Science; Gernot Mittendorfer, advisory board member and member of the Management Board, Erste Group Bank; and Karlheinz Hora, Borough Mayor, Leopoldstadt, City of Vienna.

The ceremonies will be moderated by Webster alumnus Steve Chaid MBA ’97, if FM4, DW-TV and Intermedia Media Training.
