Webster University’s study abroad programs were recognized as among the best in the country by U.S. News and World Report in its “America’s Best Colleges” 2015 edition. The ranking was established through a survey of higher education administrators in the United States.

U.S. News and World Report also listed Webster as a regional Midwestern University with one of the highest percentages of international students among its student body.

“This ranking confirms that Webster University’s comprehensive approach to global education is widely recognized among our peers as a mark of academic excellence,” said Webster University President Beth Stroble. “Our longtime commitment to global study and our focus on global citizenship is preparing our students for an increasingly international world, and we are grateful for the recognition for our programs throughout the United States and around the world.”

“Receiving an international education doesn’t just mean stepping foot on foreign soil and declaring yourself international; rather it requires the students to immerse themselves into other cultures and explore the similarities and differences with their native culture,” said Julian Schuster, Webster’s provost, senior vice president and chief operating officer. “With a high percentage of our students coming from outside the United States, this learning extends into all levels of our programs, exposing all of our students to a global education, not just those who study abroad.”
