Outstanding Student Employee Award Recipients Named for Fall I

Four students have been selected to receive the Outstanding Student Employee Award for Fall I: Chelsea Foster, Juan Salas, Ben Stitzel, and Julienne Uwingabire.

In order to be considered for the Outstanding Student Employee Award one must be nominated by a member of the Webster University community for working at a superior level to serve the department in which they work and the University as a whole.

Chelsea Foster, a sophomore biology major from Florissant, was nominated by Martha Davis, tennis director and head women’s tennis coach. She was nominated for her outstanding work as a tennis center attendant at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.

Juan Salas, a senior music education major from Colombia, was nominated by Katie Knetzer, director of the University Center. He was nominated for his excellent work as the student supervisor for the University Center Information Center.

Ben Stitzel, a sophomore music education major from St. Louis, was nominated by Anna Dickherber, community director of East and West Halls. He was nominated for his outstanding work as a resident assistant in housing and residential life.

Julienne Uwingabire, a ­junior management major from Rwanda, was nominated by Patrick Stack, director of counseling and life development. She was nominated for her outstanding work as an office assistant for counseling and health services.

Up to four students are recognized each term with the Outstanding Student Employee Award. The awards will be presented at a luncheon to be held Oct. 31.
