This week a group of Webster University students, faculty and alumni at the Vienna campus teamed up to raise money for charity and participate in the 5k Vienna Night Run around the city’s famous Ring Strasse, which rings the city’s historic 1st district.

In total, 26 Webster students, faculty, staff and alumni signed up for this city event. They entered as a group to promote healthy, active living – and to bring students from different programs together with each other, staff and faculty.

The best women’s result from the Webster team was graduate student Allison Kincaid, who finished in 21:42. The best men’s result was by staff member Jesse Alexander, who finished in 22:37.

The charity race drew more than 20,000 runners to raise funds for Light for the World, which sponsors eye operations for the poor.
