Friday Forum: Contemporary Art Museum Executive Director Lisa Melandri Sept. 26

Webster University’s Department of Art, Design, and Art History (DADAH) has sponsored Friday Forum lectures for the past 20 years. Lectures include a range of nationally and internationally renown artists, critics, and art historians, as well as all artists exhibiting in Hunt Gallery. These lectures take place on nearly every Friday throughout the semester in Sverdrup room 123, from noon – 1 p.m. The lectures are free and open to the public.

Friday, Sept. 26: Contemporary Art Museum Executive Director Lisa Melandri

The second lecturer for the 2014-15 academic year is Lisa Melandri, executive director, Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) St. Louis.

Melandri came to St. Louis to serve as the director of CAM after spending 11 years in Los Angeles as the deputy director of the Santa Monica Museum of Art. She earned her B.A. in Fine Arts and Environmental Studies at Harvard and received the M.A. degree in History of Art from Williams College. She has curated numerous exhibits, including two exhibition segments of the critically acclaimed Getty Foundation initiative Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945-1980.
