The Counseling Center has organized the following programs for students, faculty and staff during the fall 2014 semester.

Defining Sexual Assault & No Means No

Sept. 9, 12 – 1 p.m. or Sept. 30, 7 – 9 p.m. in Sunnen Lounge

Come and hear Christina Menesis, sexual assault educator for the St. Louis YWCA, discuss this issue that confuses many and scares and impacts us all. Also learn about the services on campus from our Campus Sexual Assault Advocate.

Restorative Yoga & Stress Management

Sept. 2, and Sept. 16, noon in theĀ University Center Presentation Room

A free class to slow the fast pace of the day down: learn to relax and learn stress management skills. You can participate in a chair if you like, just come and treat yourself and your body.

Campus Safety Series

Sept. 4, 11, Oct. 9, Dec. 4, 12 – 1 p.m. in the University Center Presentation Room

Join Counseling & Public Safety as they provide safety information and tips on topics such as: campus safety, sexual harassment and sexual assault, healthy relationships, personal safety and many more topics.

Bring your lunch and feed your mind while you listen to a pertinent issues on safety.

Military Students Support Group

Sept. 8, Oct. 6, Nov. 17, Dec. 8, 4 p.m., Counseling and Student Health Services at 540 Garden Ave.

Come and talk with other veteran students or just hangout once a month. You never know who you will meet.

Women’s Monthly Series

12 – 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Emerson Library. Topics vary by date. See below.

This is an informal venue to discuss issues concerning women, or just listen if you like on the following dates:

  • Sept. 15: Women and Success
  • Oct. 20: Women & Relationships
  • Nov. 17: Women & Sexuality
  • Dec. 8: Women & Depression
