Academic Honors Awarded to Webster Track & Field Teams

The Webster University men’s and women’s track and field teams have been awarded All-Academic Team honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for 2013-14. This is the first time the teams have been honored by the USTFCCCA, with both having a cumulative grade point average (GPA) above the minimum 3.10 required for eligibility.

The men’s track and field team had a cumulative GPA of 3.23, the 46th highest of the 93 teams in the NCAA III that qualified for the award. The women’s team had a cumulative GPA of 3.11 and were one of 158 teams in the NCAA III to qualify in 2013-14.

The Webster men were one of two St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) teams to earn the award, with Principia College also honored. Along with Webster’s women team, SLIAC’s Principia and Greenville College were also honored.
