2014 GLA Cohort in Leiden: June Session, Day Five

After a week of intensive learning about leadership, gaining a better understanding of the University and exploring trends and challenges in higher education, the GLA fellows returned home.
During a pancake breakfast, Webster University’s 2014 Global Leadership Academy (GLA) fellows bid afscheid (farewell) to the Webster Leiden staff, faculty and students who made them feel so welcome during their week there.
The fellows then traveled by train to Den Haag (The Hague), the headquarters of the Dutch government. On a guided walking tour, the fellows saw the buildings of Parliament and the Supreme Court, the palace where King Willem-Alexander works, a number of embassies, historic sites and a wide variety of public art. A barbecue on the beach at Scheveningen capped off the week.
The fellows will confine working on group projects over the next few months. At their final meeting in October, they will present the results of these projects to President Beth Stroble and Provost Julian Schuster.
