EAB Chiller and Cooling Tower Plant Project to Begin May 28

| May 28, 2014

Facilities Planning and Management will commence with the East Academic Building Chiller and Cooling Tower Plant Project starting Wednesday, May 28, with completion expected by the end of August. This will give the University the ability to add other buildings and renovation projects to the existing campus chilled water loop.

There will be dates and times when access to the East Academic Building may be limited; however, this information will be posted ahead of time via Webster Today.  Three parking spaces on the east side of the East Academic Building are being utilized by the contractor for parking, disposal, and staging areas.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Jim Ward at 314-246-7481.

Elsewhere: Power Shutdowns on May 30, 31

Separately, in unrelated projects, the electricity in parts of Marletto’s Cafeteria will be shut down for Solar Cell connections on Friday, May 30. This may also cause a temporary loss of cooling capability within Maria Hall.

On Saturday May 31, the power at 40 Rock Hill Road in Webster Groves is scheduled to be shut down to install new Ameren meters. For questions about the Marletto’s and 430 Rock Hill power shutdowns, contact Steve Strang, senior project manager, Office of the Provost, 314-246-8025.
