Webster University School of Education adjunct faculty member Randall Hyman is the guest photographer this week on the Smithsonian Magazine’s Instagram account. Check out his photos and captions on Instagram at instagram.com/smithsonianmagazine, or follow with your own Instagram account.

Hyman traveled the Norwegian Arctic as an Independent Fulbright Scholar on research ships, coast guard vessels, snowmobiles and ice floes collecting stories, photos and videos about Norway’s struggle with climate change. You may have seen presentations of his work at Webster University Sustainability conferences, including last month’s conference. On the Instagram feed, see examples of him exploring glaciers, sitting astride icebergs, peering down seal holes in the frozen Arctic Ocean and edging along sheer cliffs amid breeding seabirds.
