“Family of Webster”: Dean Peter Sargent and his wife Alice with their grandsons at Sargent’s Leadership in the Arts award celebration in March 2014.

Webster University’s Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies will focus on the “rights of the family” for its 2014-2015 Year of International Human Rights (YIHR). The conference will be held on Oct. 8-9, 2014, and will take place in the East Academic Building on the home campus.

Join us in honoring your family and families everywhere.

In support of the “rights of the family” theme, the Institute invites all members of the Webster community to submit photos of their own families. These images will help us celebrate the importance and diversity of families around the world. Selected photos submitted to the “Family of Webster” photo project will be shared publicly via the WebsterHumanRights Tumblr account.

All photos will be considered for use in promotional materials for the 2014 Human Rights Conference and related YIHR events.

Submit your Photo

Any member of the Webster community is welcome to submit, and the Institute welcomes photos of all kinds of families. There’s room on the submission form for more info on the submitter’s family or their photos, and we’d love some great stories or statements about the submitter’s family alongside the photos they give us.
