Hear Them Play: Community Music School Faculty Recital Friday, April 4

| April 2, 2014

The Community Music School faculty includes master performers who are also outstanding teachers.

Did you know the Community Music School of Webster University is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education, which requires meeting stringent criteria, such as offering financial assistance and talent-based merit scholarships, and setting high standards for our faculty? CMS is also one of only 12 non-degree-granting community music schools in the United States to have earned accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music.

Come check out what these outstanding CMS faculty members can do at this Friday’s Community Music School Faculty Recital. The event showcases their abilities as outstanding performers. Faculty performing include Johanna Balhou, piano; Donita Bauer, bassoon; April Dannelly, cello; Audrey Denny, clarinet; Jeanine York-Garesche, clarinet; Nina Gerassimova, piano; Jill Hartzog, soprano; Ann Homann, oboe; Jessica Knopf, saxophone; Vera Parkin, piano; Patrick Rafferty, guitar; and Robert Souza, trumpet.

Works by J.S. Bach, Kent Kennan, Ed Martin, Rudolf Escher, and others will be performed in solos and ensembles.
