Webster Baseball Moves up to #4, Extends Win Streak to 8 Games

| April 2, 2014

The Webster University baseball team is riding an eight-game win streak.

After two consecutive seasons winning the NCAA regional championship and advancing to the Division III “College World Series,” the Webster University baseball team has picked up right where it left off last season.

Riding a six-game winning streak, the Webster University baseball team moved up two spots in this week’s d3baseball.com poll, landing at a ranking of 4th overall. The Gorloks also moved up in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) weekly poll, holding the sixth spot with 396 votes. Last week, Webster was sixth in the d3baseball.com poll and seventh in the ABCA poll.

After the week’s rankings were released, the Gorloks extended their winning streak to eight games with a doubleheader sweep at Blackburn College Tuesday.
