Fund will assist undergraduate students with research-related expenses

The Office of the Provost and Office of Academic Affairs are pleased to announce the establishment of the Provost’s Student/Faculty Collaborative Research Grant Program.

Under the program, undergraduate students conducting research projects under the guidance of a faculty member can apply for funds to assist with research expenses, such as material and supplies, presentation-related items, and other eligible expenses.

At Webster, research is defined broadly and includes artistic, scholarly, and other research activities fitting our variety of disciplines and majors. Undergraduate students from all schools, campuses, and majors may apply.

“Engaging in collaborative research with a faculty member is recognized as a high impact learning experience for students,” said Julian Schuster, Provost, Senior Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer.

“I am very pleased to support these experiences, and I look forward to seeing and hearing about the final projects which will come as a result of students working together with faculty.  At Webster, our diversity of programs, disciplines, and faculty expertise will, I am sure, lead to an incredible array of projections, including posters, presentations, performances, and exhibitions.”
