For the third straight year, the Webster University baseball team is in the top 10 of the D3baseball.com pre-season poll, ranking eighth heading into the 2014 campaign. Making their second consecutive NCAA III Championships (College World Series) appearance last season, the Gorloks finished sixth in the final D3baseball 2013 poll.

Webster wound up 37-12 in 2013, setting the team record for wins in a season for the second straight year, winning 36 in 2013. Webster advanced to the World Series after winning its seventh straight SLIAC Title, its fourth straight SLIAC Championship, and the NCAA Moline Regional Championship.

The Gorloks received 415 points in this year’s pre-season poll, placing them eighth. In 2013, Webster was ranked 10th, and was seventh in the 2012 poll.
