Still Have Old Content on WWW2? Migrate by End of 2013

| November 19, 2013

The Digital Marketing team in Global Marketing and Communications has completed its work of moving content from the old web server into the new content management system (CMS). We are getting positive response to the new website and are continuing to make enhancements. In addition, each of the colleges, schools and locations have been trained in updating their own content to ensure our website remains as timely and relevant as possible.

As a next step, we now need to completely decommission the old server (www2) because some of the old and outdated content is still showing up in search results.

Information Technology (IT) will be taking down the www2 server on Dec. 31, 2013. IT will archive the www2 information as a backup. Faculty and staff who need www2 web content restored after Dec. 31, 2013, should contact the IT Service Desk at ext. 5995 (extended sites: call l 866-435-7270) to create a work order to have it restored.
