Strategic Planning Update: S.C. Focus Sessions Held, Main Campus Sessions Scheduled Nov. 18-19

| November 8, 2013

As announced on Oct. 28 in Webster Today, strategic planning is underway at Webster! The Steering Committee has been named (see the committee member list here) and will work with Credo, a higher education consulting firm focusing on strategic planning, to guide the development of the strategic plan and to advise President Beth Stroble, Provost Julian Schuster and the leadership team.

As next steps in the process, the Credo team continues to visit with Webster constituents to gather input. Credo representative Gerry Francis traveled to South Carolina Nov. 4-5 and met with faculty, staff, students and administration at Columbia, Charleston, and Joint Base Charleston to gain an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of our extended metropolitan and military campuses. Future plans include a conference call with international directors and a student survey.

On Monday, Nov. 18 and Tuesday, Nov. 19, Credo will be at the main campus and will hold focus sessions with faculty and staff. President Stroble and Provost Schuster will open the focus group sessions. Sessions will be conducted by: Gerry Francis, senior affiliate consultant and executive vice president, Elon University; and Rick Mann, senior affiliate consultant and professor of Leadership & Strategy, Trevecca Nazarene University.
