Oct. 28: TKT Benefit Concert Features Music of Irving Berlin

The Department of Music presents “The TKT Jazz Scholarship Benefit Concert:  Jazz Interpretations of the Music of Irving Berlin” on Monday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Winifred Moore Auditorium.

Featured guest artists include vocalists Erin Bode, Debby Lennon, Peter Ayres and the Webster University Jazz Singers. Also featured will be the 2013 TKT Scholars: Juan Acosta, Dre Concepcion and Jacob Stergos.

They will be accompanied by Webster Jazz faculty members Paul DeMarinis, Steve Schenkel, Kim Portnoy, Carolbeth True, Willem von Hombracht and Kevin Gianino.

Admission is $10 for this special event; students are free with a valid ID. The TKT Jazz  Scholarship was established in memory of Terry Jackson, Kirk Cappello and Tony Saputo by their families and friends to provide financial assistance for outstanding music students.
