2013-14 Global Staff Exchange Award Recipients

Shylah Antone from Webster’s Thailand campus, above, will visit the home campus in St. Louis, and Tyann Cherry from St. Louis will visit the campus in Thailand.

Congratulations to staff members selected for the 2013-2014 Global Staff Exchange:

Shylah Antone, executive assistant to the rector and manager, Office of Administrative Affairs, Thailand, will spend two weeks learning the ins and outs of St. Louis campus operations;

Karen Burch, manager of photography and video, Global Marketing and Communications Office, St. Louis, will put her documentary talents to work in Geneva;

Tyann Cherry, senior academic, St. Louis, will arrive in Thailand to explore ways to use technology and web resources to provide culturally rich, global experiences to the University community; and

Roshaunda Cade, writing center coordinator, Academic Resource Center, St. Louis, will travel to Vienna armed with resource documents and plans for collaboration on shared resources and best practices for writing center personnel.

Thirty-three applications were submitted for the four spots in this year’s program, and the Selection Committee received some of the best applications ever submitted. The committee thanks each staff member who applied and, if you were not selected this year, you are encouraged to apply again in the future

    I am very disappointed to see that there was not ONE domestic extended site staff person selected. Three from the St Louis area and 1 international. With all the staff members assigned to the domestic extended campuses..it is surprising to me that not one was selected.
