| August 28, 2013

With the new academic year upon us, we are excited to begin a new series of meetings of the Reflective Teaching Community, comprised faculty from all disciplines who get together to share and discuss their approaches and experiences with teaching and learning at the university.

Join us for our first meeting on Friday, Sept. 6, noon, at the Faculty Development Center (Emerson Library, room 420) where the initial topic will be exploring strategies for teaching written communication.

The topics planned for 2013-2014 academic year the are wide-ranging, running the gamut of rubric development to effective questioning techniques to working with international and English as a second language (ESL) students. There will also be special focus on instructors integrating the Global Citizenship Program’s skill areas with their courses.

Snacks and drinks will be on hand. We hope to see you there!
