Legal Studies’ Judge Edwards Selected for Distinguished Rehnquist Award

Judge Jimmie Edwards, adjunct faculty member of Legal Studies in the Webster University College of Arts & Sciences, was recently selected to receive the 2013 William H. Rehnquist Award for Judicial Excellence by the National Center for State Courts.

This is one of the most prestigious honors that can be bestowed on American judges. Edwards is the first judge from the state of Missouri to receive this national honor.

U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts will present the award to Judge Edwards in a ceremony at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 21, 2013.

Edwards is also a past recipient of People Magazines’ “Hero of the Year” Award in 2011. He teaches constitutional law and juvenile law courses at Webster.
