MMEA-Bound: Webster Chamber Singers Selected for another Prestigious Slot

| August 9, 2013

Webster’s flagship choir was selected for another coveted invitation.

Webster University Chamber Singers have been selected to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) annual conference in January. This is the second time this year that the choir has been invited to perform at a conference for music educators.

In June, the choir was invited to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) biennial divisional conference, which will be held March 19-22, 2014 in Little Rock, Ark.

“These are coveted invitations,” said Jeffrey Carter, chair of the Webster University Department of Music, located in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts. “Webster University has never before had an ensemble selected for MMEA. That our flagship choir was selected in its first year of eligibility under Dr. Trent Patterson is an honor and a mark of the kind of game-changing teaching that is happening in our choral program.”
