In Their Parents’ Words: Webster Geneva Success Stories

| August 1, 2013

A proud Webster mom and graduate

More often than not, selecting a college isn’t just a major life choice for the student; it’s also a major decision for the parents who care so much about this major step in their child’s future.

The Webster Geneva campus has captured the gravity — and the results — of this decision with testimonials from parents of Webster University students who graduated from the Geneva campus.

Here is one, from Victoria Birungi, mother of Ivan Iga.

The close relationship that my son, Ivan, has been able to establish with faculty members has motivated him to achieve all the academic goals he set for himself.

But the Webster community reaches beyond the classroom and Ivan was able to take part in multiple extra-curricular activities ranging from launching a student magazine to being a member of the football team that traveled to the U.K. and the Netherlands.  All this put together has allowed my son to develop in new directions, to discover new places, and to create an international network of friends.

It is very apparent that Ivan enjoyed his time at Webster University, but what is most important to me is that he gained so much more than a university degree in the process.  I am sure that he will always stay in touch with his professors as they have now become friends—friends he will never forget!”
