Web Enhancement with Canvas: July Webinars and Open Labs

The Faculty Development Center continues to offer webinars for faculty who plan to use the new Canvas-powered WorldClassRoom (formerly Blackboard). We invite faculty members who would like an orientation to enhancing their class with these new and easy-to-use tools to attend one of these webinar offerings in the month of July. (Note: Faculty members teaching fully online classes are being trained by the Online Learning Center.)

WorldClassRoom: Get Your Class Organized

This webinar covers all the essential items you need to know to get your web-enhanced class ready for the beginning of the semester, including sharing your syllabus, using the calendar to highlight important dates, and making course materials available. While this webinar welcomes newcomers to web enhancement, it should be of particular interest to faculty members who routinely used Blackboard’s Syllabus tool, Calendar and File Manager.

WorldClassRoom: Assignments

This webinar covers what faculty need to know to create, collect and grade assignments. Tools discussed include the new SpeedGrader, TurnItIn integration, and WorldClassRoom’s new grade book. This webinar will be of interest to faculty members who routinely used Blackboard’s Assignments tool, TurnItIn and Grade Book.
