Webster University Thailand has been awarded the Thailand Trust Mark (TTM) by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce. With this award, Webster Thailand joins a select handful of educational institutions in Thailand that bear the coveted TTM mark of excellence, which is endorsed by the Royal Thai Government.

The DITP commemorated the recipients in a June 11 ceremony at the luxurious Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao in Bangkok. Those honored included top companies and institutions deemed to have a very high standard of quality.

The TTM is given to Webster Thailand in consideration of its academic quality, exceptional student diversity, recent international enrollment record and customer service initiatives.

Webster Thailand director Ratish Thakur said, “It is a great honor for Webster University Thailand to be evaluated and spotlighted as a leader in the educational institutions in Thailand. We are pleased to gain recognition from Thailand Trust Mark which highlights our achievements both locally and internationally.”

The TTM provides Webster Thailand:

  1. The ability to incorporate the respected TTM in publications, advertisements, and other materials.
  2. Eligibility to receive continuous promotion by the DITP through various media
  3. Eligibility to be specially invited to join export promotion activities organized by the DITP
  4. Enhanced brand image and trustworthiness in product quality among Thai and international students

With Thailand governmental promotions of its universities throughout the ASEAN region, this mark should help Webster Thailand penetrate into new markets in Southeast Asia.

The mark was established by the Thailand Commerce Ministry‘s Department of International Trade Promotion as a quality assurance mark that assures customers of the quality of Thai products and services which carry the mark.

The mark certifies such services that conform with internationally accepted standards. Among the qualifications are meeting environmental and social responsibility standards, as well as promoting safe work environments. Thai leaders found value in establishing this mark for international consumers and visitors in the wake of floods and political uncertainty.
