IT Names Aubrecht Director, Enterprise Architecture Tech & Network/Infrastructure Operations

| June 20, 2013

Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Ken Freeman has announced the appointment of Steve Aubrecht as director of Enterprise Architecture Technology & Network/Infrastructure Operations of Webster’s Information Technology organization.

In this newly created position and department, Aubrecht will lead a team of technicians and architects in the creation and implementation of global, strategic technology “roadmaps” that will ultimately encompass all platforms that the University currently utilizes and will need in the future. The current Network Technology Services (NTS) team and the Domestic Extended Campus Support team will also report into this group.

Aubrecht spent 26 years of his extensive Information Technology career in Monsanto’s global information technology division. He is no stranger to Webster University, though, having spent the past two years working periodically as a consultant. Steve’s major initiatives include assisting with the formation of the Project Management Office (PMO), managing the creation and launch of the new University website in October 2012, and managing the global implementation of the new AT&T network for all Webster campuses.

Steve is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served seven years in the U.S. and Japan and another year and a half in the Marine Corps Reserve and Illinois National Guard. Steve received his BS in Electronic Engineering from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, N.J.

According to Freeman, “Having experience is how Steve works collaboratively with stakeholders. That, along with his competencies for assessment, action and leadership, makes him the individual to help Webster fulfill the next phase of our global goal.”

Aubrecht will transition to his new role on Monday, July 8.
