As a military-friendly institution, Webster University is known at nearly 40 military installations for helping adult students — military and civilian alike — advance their careers as they work toward graduate degrees.

McKeever “procures” her Team Shaw award.

Angelyn McKeever is one such student who is excelling in the classroom and in the workplace. A grad student at Webster’s Shaw Air Force Base campus location, she was recently named  the Team Shaw 1st Quarter winner in the Civilian Category II. McKeever is working toward her MA in Procurement and Acquisitions Management.

McKeever falls under the 20th Fighter Wing in the Procurement Division at Shaw AFB, and beat out many other civilian employees to win this quarterly award for job performance.

The Team Shaw awards are comprised of nine AF Headquarters, AFCENT, 20th Fighter Wing, 495th Fighter Group and the 337th Recruiting Squadron.

They all compete and get boarded by leadership throughout the base and get graded on primary duties, significant self-improvement, and base/community involvement. There are only four opportunities to compete for a quarterly award, and when competing at the Team Shaw level, entrants must win for their respective organization first.

McKeever is also a participant in the A Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) through Webster Shaw AFB.
