Twenty-Four Gorloks Named SLIAC Spring All-Academic

Webster University Athletics is pleased to announce that 24 Gorlok student athletes were recognized by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, being named to the Spring 2013 All-Academic Team. For seven of the Gorlok student athletes, this was the second sport for which they were recognized in 2012-13.

A total of 50 Webster student athletes were awarded for the 2012-13 academic year. Twenty-five also made the SLIAC Fall 2012 All-Academic Team and two were named to the 2013 SLIAC All-Academic Winter Team.

Agustin Villalba (Men’s Soccer & Tennis), Daniel Henkey (Men’s Cross Country & Track & Field), David Koppelmann (Men’s Cross Country & Track & Field), Josh Sellmeyer (Men’s Soccer & Tennis), Jenny Howard (Volleyball & Women’s Track & Field), Kristen McDowell (Volleyball & Women’s Track & Field) and Mackenzie Wilder (Women’s Tennis & Track & Field) all were honored twice on the year.

Recipients of the SLIAC Spring All-Academic award must be varsity members of their school’s baseball, softball, men’s golf, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s track & field or women’s track & field squad for the 2013 season. Student athletes must also carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, be at least sophomore academic standing, and have at least one full year at current institution.
