UHC Upcoming Pharmacy Provider Change

| May 3, 2013

Human Resources recently emailed employees who participate in the medical coverage through UnitedHealthcare (UHC) a reminder that Webster’s pharmacy provider will change from Medco to OptumRx, effective June 1, 2013.

Employees who have coverage will be receiving information mailed to their home address from UHC regarding this change and providing answers to Frequently Asked Questions. Members will be directed to be on the look out for new medical ID card(s) reflecting the new provider, which will be issued close to June 1.

Benefit plan design and co-payments will remain the same and most existing mail order prescriptions will transfer to OptumRx. The OptumRx network is comprised of more than 64,000 retail network pharmacies, including all the major retail pharmacies, so little to no disruption in service is expected.

Employees are strongly encouraged to review the information received at their homes this month highlighting the change and the the impact to them and their families, as applicable. If employees have any concerns during this process, however, please contact Cheryl Fritz, manager, Benefits & Compensation, at 314-246-7055 or cherylfritz49@webster.edu.
