Student Ambassadors Receive ‘Outstanding Organization’ Top Honors at District Conference

Webster University’s 2012-2013 Student Ambassadors won Outstanding Organization Award at the 2013 Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s ASAP District 6 Conference April 12-13 in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Webster University Student Ambassadors won top honors at the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) ASAP District 6 Conference April 12-13 in Des Moines, Iowa, capturing the 2013 Outstanding Organization Award. In August, the Ambassadors will venture south to New Orleans, competing at Nationals in  this same category.

In addition to the four Ambassadors that presented Webster’s training program to the CASE ASAP District 6 conference attendees, other highlights of the weekend included sophomore Economics major Suhani Fernando‘s selection to serve as the District 6 rep on the CASE ASAP Leadership team, along with Student Ambassador Advisor Billy Ratz, who will represent Webster’s district at board meetings and all national conferences for the next two years. Fernando will also serve on the CASE District 6 board.

Webster University and the Webster Student Ambassadors will host the 2014 CASE ASAP District 6 Conference March 14-15. Ratz remarked, “We are very excited about hosting, having gained many wonderful ideas this past weekend at this year’s D6 conference in Des Moines.”

The Webster University Student Ambassadors serve as the official student representatives for Webster University’s President’s Office and Office of Alumni and Development Programs. The Student Ambassadors work with collegiate and administrative offices to greet and converse with constituents, government officials, donors, and other dignitaries during University sponsored educational and social events. This organization showcases the quality and diversity of the student body, promotes pride, and communicates understanding of the university.
