New Music Ensemble: ‘A Tribute To Erik Satie’ April 26

The Webster University New Music Ensemble presents A Tribute To Erik Satie (1866-1925), Friday, April 26, 7 p.m., Community Music School, room 11. Admission is $3 for the general public and free for the Webster community with valid I.D.

The program includes these Satie works: Musique D’Ameublement (1917-1918), Tapisserie En Fer Forgé and Carrelage Phonique; Parade (1916-1917) selections, arr. Poetz; Trois Morceaux En Forme De Poire (1903); Pièces Froides (1897) second set, Danse De Travers.

The concert also includes original music and silent film (inspired by Erik Satie) by Humphrey, Poetz, Sebelski and Bridges. Members of the New Music Ensemble are: Katie Brooking, Eric Humphrey, Chris Poetz, Justin Sebelski and Duane Bridges, director.
