“Building a Culture of Sustainability”

Interested in making a difference and learning more about improving campus sustainability? There are many ways you can get involved.

This weekend’s Sustainability Conference is a prominent product of coordinated sustainability efforts, but sustainability efforts on campus — from new proposals to on-going events — continue year-round.

If you want to get involved in campus sustainability, please join the Sustainability Coalition meeting Monday, April 15, at 4 p.m. in Loretto Hall 402.

The Coalition meets monthly to discuss opportunities, challenges, accomplishments and events that shape sustainability on our campus and in our community.

At each meeting, we address a relevant issue or topic that the Coalition can assist in improving as we strive for campus sustainability. Faculty, staff and student participation is actively encouraged at these open meetings.

Agenda for this month’s meeting includes:

  • New proposals for an Energy Panel and Clean Air forum
  • Upcoming events, including Earth Day, E-Waste Recycling and Arbor Day
  • Updates on various campus sustainability initiatives

For more information about the coalition and sustainability, contact Brad Wolaver, sustainability coordinator, at wolaver@webster.edu, or one of the co-chairs: Jeff Depew at jcdepew@earthlink.net or Lindsey Heffner at lindseyheffner60@webster.edu.
