A ‘Great College to Work For’ – Webster Goes for Sixth Consecutive Year

| March 28, 2013

Surveys are heading to randomly selected faculty and staff soon.

Once again, The Chronicle of Higher Education is currently conducting its annual “Great Colleges to Work For” benchmarking study, designed to identify and recognize institutions that have created great workplaces. Webster has had the distinction of being named a “great college to work for” every year since the survey’s inception in 2008.

The results are typically released in late summer or early fall. In the past, Webster has been recognized for: work/life balance, competitive compensation, showing great appreciation for personal contributions, excellent teaching environment and for the clarity of its tenure requirements and process.

Currently, a randomly selected group of faculty and staff members are answering survey questions concerning work life at Webster. The online survey consists of about 80 questions covering various workplace satisfaction topics including job satisfaction/support, compensation and benefits and pride. Completion takes about 15 minutes.

If you are among those chosen to participate, you have received an e-mail containing the necessary information needed to log your opinions and complete the survey. Both Webster and The Chronicle are eager to hear what you have to say. The deadline to complete the survey is Monday, April 15, 2013.

UPDATE: If you have received this survey, The Chronicle has extended the deadline for response to April 19.
