Join StayTunedSTL’s associate producer Margaret Enright, digital strategist Ed Reggi and host Casey Nolen for a School of Communication’s panel discussion on new media and social engagement on Monday, March 25, at 11:30 a.m. in Sunnen Lounge.

StaytuendSTL is a live television show on the NineNetwork of Public Media. Each episode focuses on a topic and uses television, Twitter, Facebook and Google+Hangouts to discuss the subject. The show invites community members and experts to discuss the topic in studio while audience members watch and discuss on social media.

The show’s producer will explain the show’s strategy and vision. The show’s digital strategist will discuss what StayTunedSTL has done to integrate social media into the show and the show’s host will compare what StayTunedSTL does with traditional live broadcasts.

Webster University’s School of Communications is collaborating with NineNetwork on a unique classroom experience that allows students in the class to work with the producers of StayTunedSTL. This is the first semester the class has been offered. The class (MEDC 3150/EPMD3000) will be offered in Fall 2013 as well.

The School of Communications and Webster’s student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists are sponsoring the panel.
