Free Film Screening: ‘Girl Rising’ March 19

Webster University presents a free screening of Girl Rising Tuesday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Moore Auditorium. The event is co-sponsored by Webster University and OASIS (Organization of Asian Indians at AT&T) St. Louis Chapter.

GIRL RISING (Richard Robbins, 2013, USA, 101 min.)
Girl Rising is a groundbreaking film, directed by Academy Award nominee Richard Robbins, telling the stories of nine extraordinary girls from nine countries, written by nine celebrated writers, and narrated by nine renowned actresses. The film showcases the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world.

Admission is free and open to the public, however donations are welcome at the door. All donations collected will be given to the 10×10 Fund for Girls’ Education at the Tides Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity.

The Webster University Film Series receives funding from the Regional Arts Commission and the Missouri Arts Council – a state agency.
