2013 Kemper Award Nominees Sought from Webster Community

| February 25, 2013

Nominations are due March 11.

The Office of the Provost & Senior Vice President invites nominations for the 2013 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching.

This award, generously funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation, recognizes faculty members who demonstrate teaching at its finest. Up to four Kemper Awards will be presented: two for full-time faculty members (St. Louis) who will each receive a $10,000 award, and two adjunct faculty members (all campuses) who will each receive a $5,000 award.

To nominate a faculty member, please write a brief paragraph stating why you think he/she is an outstanding teacher. Nominees will be asked to provide background information on their teaching experiences as well as a statement articulating their philosophy of education. For the part-time faculty award, preference will be given to professional practitioners (adjunct faculty) who have taught for more than three years.

The Provost & Senior Vice President will appoint a committee consisting of alumni, faculty, and administration to review nominations and materials to select the four recipients. Announcement of the 2013 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching will be made at the end of the academic year at an appropriate ceremony.
