Webster admissions community college event

Aldridge discusses transfer opportunities at Webster with a prospective student.

Did you know this is a very busy time of the year for the Admissions Transfer team?

Between now and the end of the academic year the team will visit more than 12 community colleges in a quest to recruit new students for Webster University.

Some of the campuses the team is slated to visit include:

  • Jefferson College (Arnold and Hillsboro locations)
  • John A. Logan Community College
  • Southwestern Illinois College (Belleville, Granite City and Red Bud locations)
  • Lewis and Clark Community College
  • Mineral Area College
  • St. Charles Community College
  • St. Louis Community College (Florissant Valley, Meramec, South County and Wildwood locations)

During a recent transfer event at St. Louis Community College, admissions representative Brittany Aldridge said each visit at the St. Louis Community College campus typically yields 20 to 30 interested students. Many times the students have unofficial transcripts in hand and are eager to see which credits will transfer as they gather details about the programs at Webster.

According to Brittany, most students are curious about scholarships, pricing and the application process. Most are thinking ahead to strategically navigate their academic career and are excited at the prospect of becoming Webster students.
