Spring 2013 IS Symposium Series

The Spring 2013 International Studies Symposium Series program line up is listed below. The events are held in the Library Conference Room, noon – 1:20 p.m., on Tuesdays, with the exception of the film screening on April 9, which will be held in Moore Auditorium.

  • Jan. 29 – George Gyader, adjunct professor, History, Politics, and International Relations department: “The Structure of Politics in China”
  • Feb. 19 – Marilyn Lorenz, St. Louis Inter-faith Committee on Latin America: “Sweat Free Communities”
  • March 5 – Farzana Chohan, LEED certified architect, on “The Natural Environment”
  • March 26 – Devi Gurung States, Himalayan Family Healthcare Project: “Infectious Diseases and Globalization”
  • April 9 – screening of The Invisible War, sponsored by CIE and co-sponsored by the Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies
