WU Athletics Hall of Fame Day Feb. 2

| January 29, 2013

The Webster University Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Grant Gym during half time of the men’s basketball game vs. Greenville College (Ill.). Two former student athletes and a current Webster coach will be honored as the Class of 2013 for the Hall of Fame.

Angie Carr, former women’s basketball standout, Crystal Shelton Spinner, former volleyball standout, and Marty Todt, head men’s soccer coach for 25 years, are included in the fourth Hall of Fame class. They bring the total number of Hall of Fame members to 15.

In addition to the inductions, there will be the basketball doubleheader vs. Greenville (women at 1 p.m.; men at 3 p.m.). Both teams are battling for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles, each sporting a 7-3 record in conference.

Also on Feb. 2, the Webster University Parents Council will hold a ‘Tailgate Party’ for the parents of current Webster students, from noon – 1 p.m. in the University Center Sunnen Lounge. Click here to RSVP for that event.

The day will also feature a halftime scrimmage during the women’s game by the St. Louis Falcons, a Special Olympics basketball club.

Help us welcome the newest members into the Webster Athletics Hall of Fame and enjoy some exciting basketball as well in the Grant Gymnasium on Feb. 2. As always, admission is free.
