Myers said prospective students should explore their financial aid qualifications at least a year before they apply for college.

The Webster Staff Alliance Dec. 20 holiday luncheon program included an informative program about the responsibilities of Webster University’s Financial Aid Office and a fun Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest.

Director of Financial Aid James Myers described the responsibilities of his department and how it fits into the greater whole of the University.

Myers emphasized that the Financial Aid Office, located at the Webster Groves campus, is responsible for financial aid services for all of Webster’s worldwide campuses.

[Note: Myers’ presentation was recorded will be posted to the WSA website.]

Following Myers presentation, the winners of the Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest were announced: Shelley Sawalich, Academic Resource Center, came in first with a lovely cat-themed number. Coming in a close second was Gladys Smith, Counseling and Life Development, in a holiday extravaganza must be seen to be truly appreciated.

Also participating in the contest and pictured below, from the right, are: Angie Ruble, Mary O’Donnell, Jodi Patterson, Jen Andondoff and Sharon Phillips.

Ugly Holiday Sweater contestants hold up their numbers as they vie for votes.
