First Endowed Scholarship for Nurse Anesthesia Established

| December 18, 2012

Webster University’s nurse anesthesia program philosophy is that graduate education is fundamental to preparation for practicing as a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

Webster University is pleased to announce that the Gary D. Clark, Founder & Professor Emeritus Endowed Scholarship for Nurse Anesthesia has been established as the first endowed fund for this distinctive program. The scholarship will provide aid to meritorious students that exhibit the core values of the Nurse Anesthesia program: Leadership, Research, Excellence in Clinical Practice and Life Long Learning.

Students in Webster’s Nurse Anesthesia program are adults who enter the program as full-time students, often leaving their jobs for up to three years while they complete the rigorous program.

Lead gifts/pledges were made by alumni Eugene Vayman MS ’03 and Georgene Bosaw MS ’02. Gary Clark also made a significant  commitment to the fund and has been actively engaged in discussions with alumni. The Office of Alumni & Development continues to engage alumni and friends of the Nurse Anesthesia program for additional gifts to the fund. To make a year-end gift to the Gary D. Clark, Founder & Professor Emeritus Endowed Scholarship or any other fund, please visit Webster’s giving page.
