Submit proposals for Webster University’s 2013 Sustainability Conference by Jan. 15, 2013.

The second annual Webster University Sustainability Conference will welcome Dr. Monty Hempel, director of the Center for Environmental Studies at University of Redlands and founding president of Blue Planet United, as one of the featured speakers at the 2013 conference April 12-13.

Presentations at the 2012 conference came from faculty, students, nonprofits and companies such as Monsanto and Waste Management.

Hempel joins the previously announced Dr. David Orr, Chair of Environmental Studies at Oberlin College, who is keynote speaker for the Conference. More featured speakers will be forthcoming, including speakers on sustainability in the military.

Submit a Proposal

The conference invites submissions for presentations, panels, workshops and posters for this conference on “Sustainability: Our Common Future.”

Faculty, staff, students and community partners may take this opportunity to submit an abstract for review to present at the conference. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.


The conference will take place on the home campus of Webster University in St. Louis, Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, in the East Academic Building and Community Music School.
