Outstanding Student Employee Award Recipients Named for Fall 2

Liz Condon-Oakberg, coordinator of student employment, has announced the selection of four students to receive the Outstanding Student Employee Award for Fall 2. The award recipients are Julia Hahn, Joseph Marquez, Kristin Milligan and Jay Russell.

In order to be considered for the Outstanding Student Employee Award one must be nominated by a member of the Webster University community for working at a superior level to serve the department in which they work and the University as a whole.

Julia Hahn, a senior anthropology major from St. Louis, was nominated by Matthew Wier, head of access services for the library. She was nominated for her outstanding work as an access services clerk/shelver in the library.

Joseph Marquez, a graduate student pursuing an MBA, from St. Louis, was nominated by Justin Bitner, research manager in the office of institutional effectiveness. He was nominated for his outstanding work as a research analyst in the office of institutional effectiveness.

Kristin Milligan, a senior double major in English and education from Rosebud, Mo., was nominated by Roshaunda Cade, writing center coordinator in the academic resource center. She was nominated for her outstanding work as a peer writing coach in the writing center.

Jay Russell, a senior advertising/marketing communications major from St. Louis, was nominated by Katie Knetzer, assistant director of housing and residential life. She was nominated for her excellent work as a student coordinator of building operations in housing and residential life.

Up to four students are recognized each term with the Outstanding Student Employee Award. The awards will be presented at a luncheon to be held before the start of next semester.
