Webster University Faculty Composers Concert Nov. 30
The Webster University Faculty Composers Concert takes place Friday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Community Music School, Room 10. The event is free and open to the public.
The concert features the work of faculty composers’ Melissa Bishop, Duane Bridges, Jeffrey Carter, David Nalesnik, Matt Pace, Kim Portnoy, Carol Schmidt, Kendall Stallings and John Thomas. Compositions include a wide range of styes and genres, including contemporary, classical, electronic, jazz, pop and hybrid.
Performing musicians include the Webster University Faculty String Quartet: Alison Rolf and Susie Thierbach (violins), Anna Lackschewitz (viola) and Ken Kulosa (cello), and pianists, Vera Parkin, David Nalesnick and Carol Schmidt.
Also featured are vocalists Melissa Bishop, Jeffrey Carter and Natalie Huggins, as well as instrumentalists: Carla Colletti (oboe), Jay Hutson (bass clarinet), Eric Ring (bassoon), Paul DeMarinis (saxophone) and Ric Vice (bass).
