Upcoming Professional Development Workshops

The University community is invited to attend the following workshops hosted by Enrollment Management & Student Affairs. Sessions begin at noon in the Webster Groves room (Webster Hall across from the Welcome Center):

  • Tuesday Nov. 27 – “Social Media as Professional Development” presented by Melanie Gottlieb, director, Admissions Operations

Social Media is not just a way to reconnect with friends from your past or share what’s going on in your day. It has also become a rich environment for professional development, allowing you to network and connect with colleagues across the globe and delve deeper into conversations about hot topics in your field. Attend this session to discuss ways to enhance and enrich your professional network online.

  • Thursday, Nov. 29 – “Regional NAFSA (Association of International Educators) Conference  Update” presented by Admissions staff, including: Wence P’Oryem, associate director of International Services, Robert Pampel, associate director, and Janka Ribando, coordinator

  • Tuesday, Dec. 11 – “Update on NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) National Conference” presented by Anne Edmunds, associate vice president for Enrollment Management

Please come to learn more about Common Application updates, updates in the NACAC commission on International Student Recruitment and the Financial Aid Shopping Sheet.
