Global Leader in Residence Yolanda Kakabadse Returns to Webster

Kakabadse’s return to St. Louis and Webster University included a reception and talk at the St. Louis Science Center Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Webster University and the Office of Corporate Partnerships welcome the return of Yolanda Kakabadse, president of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) International, and inaugural Global Leader in Residence in the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology.

Kakabadse’s first visit to the St. Louis campus in April 2012 featured lectures and interaction with Webster students, faculty, staff and members and leaders of the local community.

Kakabadse returns to campus Nov. 7-8.

In addition to the President’s Opening Reception and lecture, she presented a public lecture, “The Future of Our Planet,” to a packed house in the East Academic Building.

Nov. 7 – Ideas for One Planet Sustainability

Session will address the grand challenges of sustainability through facilitated student teams in the St. Louis region. Teams will present creative solutions using the WWF One Planet Living Principles.

Nov. 8 – Agree to Disagree: Managing Conflict for a Sustainable World

This key address will focus on Yolanda Kakabadse’s unique life- affirming experiences with environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability. A Q&A session will follow the talk.
