Approaching the centennial: Mindful of history, excited for the future.

On any given day at Webster University, you might see film and camera crews roaming the home campus as students in the School of Communications pursue their degrees with a hands-on approach.

But this week there are more cameras than usual — and students and faculty are in front of the camera, not behind it.

As part of strategic efforts to enhance Webster’s reputation and spread the University’s great story, Global Marketing and Communications has arranged production of new TV spots. Reflecting Webster’s diversity and academic excellence, the spots are part of the new brand initiative rolling out later this year.

The “stars” of the spots are Webster students and faculty recruited during a casting call the previous week. (Naturally, some of the film crew are Webster alumni, working in the field around St. Louis.)

On-site filming for the spots is taking place in several locations on the home campus in Webster Groves Sept. 6-7. Look for the finished product later this year.
