Webster University’s Thailand campus has been certified as “Excellent” by Thailand’s Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment. This places Webster University Thailand among an elite group of universities in Thailand—less than 10 percent—who have achieved these quality assurance standards.
“The achievement is tremendous,” said Ratish Thakur, rector at Webster Thailand. “We underwent a series of internal quality assurance audits leading up to the EQA and I am happy that the external auditors from ONESQA have rated our efforts as ‘Excellent.’”
Even though Webster University Thailand is accredited as an international campus of Webster University, it is also required to meet local regulations and accreditations. The ONESQA audit takes place every five years and utilizes an 18-point judging criterion that examines quality of graduates, research output, faculty qualifications, unique university identity, and community involvement.
ONESQA plays a significant role in performing educational quality assessment. Its aim is to develop a qualified educational management system and administration for all Thai education institutes where learners are provided opportunities for experiences and activities that nurture virtue, competence and happiness.
