In the News: Powers in U.S. News; Rishe on KMOX; Webster at Chess Olympiad

Recent news media coverage involving Webster University includes:

Patrick Powers, director of digital marketing and communications, and two Webster students were quoted in the U.S. News & World Report article about a controversial Florida professor’s decision to grade based on Klout, a social media measurement site.

Patrick Rishe, associate professor of business, was a guest on KMOX-AM radio with Chris Kerber to discuss the economic hit athletes like Lance Armstrong take when mired in scandal.

Susan Polgar, chess coach and head of the Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence, is in Turkey with several Webster chess team members who are competing at the Chess Olympiad in Istanbul. It’s the first time Webster University has been introduced to the world chess community on its biggest stage. A portion of her press conference appears in the embedded video below.
