Book Club to Discuss “Mormon Singles Halloween Dance” July 10

| June 29, 2012

Join the Webster University Book Club on July 10 at noon in the Library Conference Room as we discuss Elna Baker’s The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance: A Memoir.

Bring your lunch.  Everyone in the community is welcome.

Elna Baker is a Mormon stand-up comic and writer. Her memoir recounts her story as a lonely single Mormon woman in New York City. When she loses 80 pounds, she finds that reconciling her new body with her sexuality and the practices of her religion creates enough fodder for a delightful book.

Kirkus Reviews calls it: “A sexy, lubricious outing by a formerly zaftig comic.”
